Amara is an accredited Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction facilitator, trained with the Mindfulness Training Institute Australia – New Zealand.
For 35 years Amara has been teaching mindful Hatha Yoga, relaxation and meditation practices in private consultation, schools, work places, community groups, retreat centres and hospitals (including South Pacific private hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital and Manly Hospital).
Amara began practicing mindful Hatha Yoga and meditation in 1977. On noticing how effective the practices were in supporting her physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, and with a heartfelt longing to be able to support others, she immersed herself in study and practice.
From 1978 - 2000 Amara lived, worked, studied and taught full time at retreat/teaching centres in Australia and overseas.
